Arterial Wall Structure Process Work

© McMaster Education in Anatomy Program
This piece was made to replace an existing illustration showcasing the structure of an arterial wall. The unique challenges of this piece involved the sizes and ratios of each element of the arterial wall, the different directions of the fibres, making the illustration look realistic while still creating a visible difference between the elements and organizing and labelling it for ease of use. A lot of research was conducted to maintain scientific accuracy and a colour palette created by the Education in Anatomy Program team.
